This policy explains how the Ambient Screen app (package com.micutsoft.AmbientScreenDisplay,
developed by Micutsoft) handles information. It was written from the app's source code, its release
build manifest, and the official documentation of the services it uses.
Ambient Screen has no sign-up, login, or input forms. It does not access or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera, or precise location. It does not collect the advertising ID.
To improve stability and usability, the app uses the three services below. When the device is online, they collect the following information automatically:
| Service | Provider | Information collected | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash stack traces, app state at the time of a crash, device information (model, OS version, etc.), a Crashlytics installation identifier | Finding and fixing crashes | |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | App instance ID, usage events (app opens, screen views, sessions), device information, approximate location (country/region) derived from IP address | Usage statistics | |
| Microsoft Clarity | Microsoft | Taps and swipes, screen layout, device type/brand/model, OS and version, screen size, app name/version, app errors, country/region | Understanding how the app is used and improving screens |
To decide when to show Google Play's review prompt, the app stores the first launch time, the number of completed viewing sessions, and the time and app version of the last prompt. These values never leave your device. Reviews are handled by Google Play; the app never receives your review or rating.
